Description
First Option Bank is seeking to fill a Commercial Loan Operations Manager position at our Osawatomie Branch.  This position will oversee the commercial loan operations department to ensure that all administrative and processing functions are completed accurately, timely and in compliance with all regulations.  


General:

  • Maintains current knowledge of regulations governing the bank’s credit function including all required regulations, including attending training as necessary.
  • Implement commercial lending operations process, ensuring that loan packages are properly filed with appropriate signatures, disclosures, credit authority, and supporting documentation.
  • Supervise the processing of commercial loans in non-accrual and charge-offs. Prepare related reports and administer system.
  • Supervise all aspects of the commercial loan operations.  This supervision includes posting of payments, payoffs, draw request, balancing, disbursing loan funds, and maintaining software as needed.
  • Confers with Senior Commercial Lender, and Head of Compliance and Audit for audit and compliance issues.  Serve as primary liaison between lenders, processors, and compliance to ensure seamless fulfillment.
  • Track ongoing documentation requirements and perform loan covenant testing.
  • Assists commercial loan officers, loan assistants, commercial loan processors, and other bank personnel on commercial loan documentation questions and solutions.
  • Timely preparation of information for weekly and monthly commercial lending reports to submit to Management and Board and other reports as needed.
  • Monthly reconciliation of reports, GL and other accounts.
  • Review booked loans for accuracy and assist with the internal/external audit requests.
  • Ensure collateral position remains in compliance with loan and collateral requirements as identified in loan documentation by completing date downs and obtaining necessary endorsements for draw requests.
  • Update rates on the core.
  • Performs other tasks as requested by supervisor as they relate to the bank and its functions.

Supervisory:

Supervise Commercial Loan Operations Department staff.

Qualifications
    Skills:  Ten or more years of experience in loan processing and administration.  Excellent interpersonal skills. Must possess tact and the ability to effectively relate to customers, officers, and others involved in the lending process and other departments of the bank. Must possess strong management abilities and be able to recognize and foster development of loan administration/processing personnel. Also, must possess demonstrated strong leadership qualities, good communication skills, decision-making abilities, and a high degree of personal integrity. Ability to manage loan administration/processing personnel engaged in loan processing and administrative operations to achieve profit, growth, compliance, and customer service objectives. Must be familiar with the bank’s policies and procedures in addition to the regulations governing consumer, commercial, and real estate lending, and credit. Should be analytical.
    Preferred Skills: Prior supervisory experience.
