JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for gathering, preparing and entering alphabetic and numeric data from various source documents into the appropriate computer system for processing, analyzing, and electronic storage within the commercial lending division. This role performs a wide range of data processing tasks, including sorting, system input, commercial loan presentation preparation, and proofreading as needed. The ideal candidate is organized and able to multi-task, with a high degree of quality and accuracy while complying with all regulatory and company standards. 

The candidate will work closely with the commercial lenders to ensure accuracy in financial analysis based on their data input and in loan presentation preparation.

Expected to deliver customer service as outlined in our “customer pledge” and “customer service standards”. 

PRIMARY DUTIES:
  • Gathers, organizes and prepares source documents for data entry into the appropriate system database.
  • Enters both alphabetic and numeric data from source documents into the proper system database.
  • Reviews data for discrepancies, missing pages or information and resolves discrepancies by using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the commercial lender for resolution.
  • Reviews data entered against the original source documents for accuracy and corrects any data entry errors or duplications.
  • Prepares commercial loan presentations utilizing reports generated from data input.
  • Other duties as assigned as related to data entry for commercial credit.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Required:  Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products.  Ability to think independently and logically; adapt to change quickly; and work within a variety of projects simultaneously. 

Above-average communication skills, decision-making abilities, high degree of personal integrity and confidentiality.   Strong attention to detail. Good interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and customers.

Preferred:  Education/currently studying in the areas of finance, accounting, or economics or experience working with accounting principles.

WORK HOURS:
This position will be scheduled for up to 29 hours a week however the days and times will be flexible.  This would be a great position for a college student who requires flexibility with class schedules.
