Description
Job Summary:

Processes commercial loan file from opening through closing.  Creates, assembles and reviews for completeness the documentation necessary to be included in file for commercial loans. Provide quality customer service according to “Customer Pledge” for loan servicing.

Qualifications:

Have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Windows and Outlook. Detailed knowledge of commercial loan processing and procedures, especially as related to supporting documentation necessary for government agencies and internal bank policies. Must possess tact and the ability to effectively relate to customers, officers, and other employees involved in the lending process and work effectively as a team.  Proven ability to work “effectively” with others, strong organizational and time management skills.
Required to have a high level of understanding of loan software with the ability to troubleshoot when issues arise. Must be able to make decisions and problem solve with limited assistance from supervisor. 
Preferred 2-3 years of Commercial Processing or closing experience. 

Primary Duties

Processing: 70%

• Process commercial loans from application to post closing – including:
  • Ordering appraisals, title work, credit reports, flood determinations 
  • Document Certificate of Good Standing status
  • Review corporate documents, evaluate correct ownership/titling
  • Assist Loan Officer with acquiring documentation to meet policies and guidelines
  • Maintain organized pipeline tracking document
  • Provide loan funding, process closing documents, necessary lien perfection filing
  • Maintain knowledge of commercial regulatory requirements
  • Assist in clearing technical exceptions
• Communicate effectively and professionally with third parties
• Complete Pre-Closing reviews
• Update transaction logs as stated in job aids – Loan Disbursement, Escrow, Cashier’s Check
• Prepare Adverse Action Statements

Training: 15%

• Assist in Training and Development of Loan Processors.
  • Able to accurately answer questions for other employees.
  • Assist in maintaining up to date training material/documents.

Servicing: 10%

• Promptly reply to requests to post payments, advances, payoffs, auto-debits or general customer questions
• Assist customers with and retrieve online loan application submissions

Other: 5%
• Performs other tasks requested by supervisor as they relate to the Bank and its functions.
